Little French Flea Market

Yesterday I visited a quarterly flea market called the Little French Flea Market.  It is one of my favorite niche flea markets because they have all the pink and pretty stuff I love, and it is held in a park-like setting which makes it all the more special.  At the last market, I forgot my camera (dang!) and then yesterday I had my camera, but it was raining hard.  I can personally tell you when it rains in Southern California, it is sadly a cause of panic especially when it is the first rain of the season.  So because of the rain a lot of the vendors were not completely set up, but just so happens my favorite vendor there was all ready for us.

Fran had her Easy Up sheltering her wonderful wares and she was happy for me to take photos.  She had tons of these coffee filter roses and she was kind enough to tell me how to make them, so I will be sharing a tutorial this week, and check out her adorable clock ornaments.  She actually took an old vintage clock and copied the face to do these.  Aren't they fun?
I love to share my ideas and she loved to share hers too.  I have been criticized at times for being so open about how I make my things, but just think where Martha Stewart would be if she hadn't been willing to share her secrets too!  That woman built an empire, after all, and became a household name.
Fran had several of these little glittered bird houses for sale and a pretty glittered tree.
I love this canvas with the bee, and here is a close up of one of those beautiful roses.
I did end up purchasing this pretty lampshade.  I couldn't resist it.  Fran used it here as a tree topper.
One of the other things I like about Fran's space is that she always has fresh plants and flowers.   I hope to be a vendor at this flea market next year, and as soon as I have the dates I will be posting them.  I just wish I could have shared more with you, but I'm thankful that Fran loves to share her ideas as much as I do.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Thanks, Maggie- I love that you share things. I do, too. Not that I have that much to share but...anything anyone wants to know- I am there to tell them. I would love to know how to make those flowers-they are different than the ones I make. I hope you have a great night-I am off to bed here soon- LONG weekend- xo Diana

I'm so happy you take the time to figure out how to make things and then share your knowledge with us! I love the little clock face ornaments! And I've certainly got enough clock faces around here to photocopy!!

Beautiful booth! I love those clock face ornaments she made. What a great idea! I think I will be trying these because I'm redoing the little tree in my master this year and I need new ornaments. These would work out great. Pinning! : )

I think you are right and the linky is faulty. I fixed it now and it should work. Thanks so much for linking, you are the best!

Miss Maggie I think generosity of spirit and sharing ideas you don't have to is much more freeing than not sharing. You are to be commended.
I love so much of what your friend was selling and noticed her prices are very reasonable. The little clock face ornaments are so cute and something I love, a little different than others are selling. I'll have to see if I can buy one of those from her.
I've seen such generosity of sharing of ideas since I've been reading blogs it amazes me, makes my heart so happy. I feel like even tho I don't have a blog I'm still a small part of the blogging world. After some family troubles we've been pretty much left to ourselves, no b/d cake with the granddaughters, or being included in holiday celebrations. It's been hurtful but because of the blog world I've been more creative and have something to look forward to much more often now. I am always so warmed when I see bloggers doing things for others they don't have to. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
