Tea Time

It's been ages since I have done a tablescape so I'm working back into my routine after the holidays with an amazing tea set I found at a thrift shop right before New Year's.  Now I don't usually like thrift stores, but after this find, I might be a convert.

I pulled out my favorite estate find, this silver tray, and my favorite Haviland cups and saucers.  These are actually small soup bowls but I'll pretend they are tea cups for today.
I adore these roses.  The color is incredible.
The painted roses on this set are totally my style, delicate and pink with a touch of gold trim.
Here is the maker's mark.  I never noticed these were manufactured for a store in Los Angeles.
Aren't these roses stunning?  The perfect shade of pink, not too pale, not too deep.
To finish off the vignette, I used these gorgeous vintage silver teaspoons that were a flea market find from long ago.
Thanks for visiting.

I love your tea set Maggie. I'm sipping a cup of tea right now. Too bad it's not in your beautiful china.

Wow, I love your tea set and those Haviland soup cups are lovely. I also love the vintage flatware. You should re-think going to the Thrift Stores. Lovely post.

The china set was meant for you, having been painted for a store in your area. It's so delicate and perfect for a Valentine's Day tea.
