Happy Sunday everyone. Here is another Pinteresting inspired post. I picked up these three baseballs last weekend at a sale. Right afterwards I saw this idea on Pinterest and got right to work. I used navy blue, cardinal red and ivory white acrylic paint and then I went over them with an antiquing gel that I had with my craft paints. I think these look very Pottery Barn and a whole bowl or cloche of them would be fabulous and not just for the 4th of July. Great for a primitive or Americana decor style.
I can't believe I didn't have a small star stencil. I had to wing it with my freehand style, but it kind of goes with the primitive feel. Don't you agree? If I do more of these, I will invest in the stencil, but it's okay for now. Thanks for stopping by.

I love them. You did a great job. I usually decorate my house with patriotic stuff all summer. Just running late!
Blessings,

I love the Americana painted baseballs. I saw these for sale at a craft show a couple of years ago and they are on my list of must makes. I also plan on painting a bat and glove. Have to find a way o display them on my front porch.
