French Table in Graphite

It seems like it's taking me awhile to get back into the flow of projects, but I did finally complete this one.  I found this little table at a yard sale, and it was in pretty rough shape but the price was right so I decided to see if I could do some sort of a transformation.  I sanded the table and painted it with Annie Sloan graphite.  I added some gold accents and then did a wax paper transfer for the image.
I'm pretty pleased with the outcome.  If you like the image, you can find it on my Pinterest Ephemera board.  I saved it to my computer and did a wax paper transfer.  If you are unfamiliar with this transfer method, I found the instructions on the Graphics Fairy site under transfer methods.  The good thing about using the wax paper is that you can do it from an ink jet printer.  Here is the before photo.

As always, I appreciate your visits.

Love that transfer. With a black and white it seems much easier to do than the modpodge method.
