My Space

Between our vacation, visiting my daughter and then my recent bout with Whooping Cough, I was away from my space at Aubergine Emporium for approximately five weeks.  Wow, that is a very long time for me!  I try to bring in new things every week to keep things fresh and clean, but sometimes life happens.  So I spent Sunday and Monday at the shop cleaning and rearranging.  I tried to take in a lot of new items, but it still needs some more smalls and a little more tweaking.

Nonetheless, I thought I would show you what my space looks like going into fall and gearing up for winter.
I brought in some black, a lot of wood and my space wouldn't be complete without some red accents.  I'm pretty much a color person, but I did a couple of neutral spots for our color phobe customers.   Do you like color like I do or do you play it neutral?

Thanks for visiting.  I hope your day is cheery and bright.

What a fabulous space you have!! It doesn't matter to me if something is neutral or colorful, as long as it "speaks" to me. You've got some great repurposed pieces!

Wow, you've got a great space, Maggie! I love that you are by the window, too. All that light! I like color and neutrals; I guess it depends how the item strikes me. Hope you are all better now.

Love your space! I love what you did to the old wooden ironing board. Never thought of chalkboard painting one! I've had several. The next find I'll have to have fun with that! Whooping cough???? The old kind? Are you just teasing. Hoping you are feeling better. In the south we say, Bless your heart!

I'm definitely a color person. Even when I try to go neutral, I end up adding more and more color. Your space looks beautiful, something for everyone. So many great treasures for sale!

Oh, I just love your space! You have all of your treasures displayed so beautifully... very inviting-looking! It's much more like a small boutique shop than a boring-sounding "space"!

I'm a color kind of girl, but I've been discovering new-to-me blogs about all things vintage, French, and WHITE (and ivory, cream, ecru, and, um, Nordic gray... don't worry; I don't get the connection, either!)--which is a whole new world for me, and I love it. But in fairly small doses.; )
