Well, I have received a few comments that others are having problems uploading photos as well so I have deduced it is a Blogger problem and hopefully they will get it fixed. In the meantime I am working on two new pieces of furniture to share which hopefully will be done very soon.
I have been cleaning, organizing and purging lots of things that are cluttering the house and life in general. It's such a good feeling to get organized, but it does hinder the creative spirit lest I mess things up and get unorganized again. Such a dilemma, but I go through this every year. Do you have this problem?
I am also working on my website which just needs listings uploaded and then I think I am on my way. I am looking forward to a lot of new things this year. Out with the old and in with the new is my current motto. I will keep checking to see when I can upload photos and hopefully Blogger is aware of the problem and will fix it very soon.

Is anyone else having trouble uploading photos? The browse button is not coming up when I go in to try to upload my pictures.

French Table in Graphite
It seems like it's taking me awhile to get back into the flow of projects, but I did finally complete this one. I found this little table at a yard sale, and it was in pretty rough shape but the price was right so I decided to see if I could do some sort of a transformation. I sanded the table and painted it with Annie Sloan graphite. I added some gold accents and then did a wax paper transfer for the image.
I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. If you like the image, you can find it on my Pinterest Ephemera board. I saved it to my computer and did a wax paper transfer. If you are unfamiliar with this transfer method, I found the instructions on the Graphics Fairy site under transfer methods. The good thing about using the wax paper is that you can do it from an ink jet printer. Here is the before photo.
As always, I appreciate your visits.

Vintage Rustic Tole Tray
Happy New Year everyone. I hope your holidays were happy and bright. Our family had a wonderful Christmas and Santa is bringing me exactly what I wanted although I have to wait until June to unwrap the bundle of joy that my daughter and son-in-law will be welcoming. It is my first grandchild and I can hardly wait! I actually cried in the baby aisle when I was picking out a couple of stocking stuffers. Of course, they were tears of joy.
In the meantime, I photographed a new piece of furniture that I finished over my week off, but I decided to re-take the photos and show you tomorrow so today I will share this beautiful vintage rustic tole tray that I found a couple of weeks ago.
I love hand painted things and the detail in these apples is exquisite. The tray has seen better days, but there is something very charming about it.
I only wish I could paint like this. I bet you can't guess what this tray was made from so I just better go ahead and tell you.
I believe it was painted on an old professional baking sheet, one of those heavy duty kinds. It just goes to show you, a real artist can paint on any surface and the results are just as beautiful.
Here's to wishing you all a Happy New Year and wishing you wonderful things in the coming year.
