I love anything with cherries on it for the summertime. I love the vibrant red against a white background. Something about it has a happy feeling of a moment in time that has long since passed.
First of all, I have not learned Photoshop (yet!) so what you see here is literally cut and pasted with my two little hands and a pair of scissors. Yep, it was done the old fashioned way. I printed out the French typography image of my choice from the Graphics Fairy and sized it in Wordpad to fit my towels, which, by the way, I purchased at Target. They come in a package of four and the package was $4. Then I used another Graphics Fairy image of the cherries and made a smaller image to superimpose over my typography. I cut those out very carefully, positioned the cherries image over the script and made a reverse color copy of the two images together on my color printer. Then I printed that onto my Avery light weight iron on transfer paper and ironed it on. The result is magnifique! Two pretty towels ready for a summer luncheon.

Oh- I love it! I am not techy at all either and do a lot of my stuff the "old fashioned way". You did a great job- Did you know that we live in the Cherry capital of the US? Door County is full of cherries and festivals, etc. xo Diana
That's a really lovely design, and yes, cherries are perfect symbols of Summer.
These are charming. I love the bright red cherries over the typography.
Maggie, That sure is pretty. So ready for Summertime. I like cherry prints too, but I do not have anything like that. Smiles, Susie(She Junks)

These are so precious! I like the old-fashioned way of doing things!
I love your towels : )
These look so fresh and summery! You did a wonderful job on the design choices and placement.
Gorgeous! I would love if you link your creation to the French party on Monday!

Came here via GF. You did an amazing job of "collaging" it by hand and transferring the image to towels. FYI..I don't know enough about PS either but I recently found out you can do a lot of collage/changing colors etc in MS Word 2010. Until then, I honestly hated Word 2010 but now I love it for being able to fade backgrounds, create collage, change to b/w in a second or sepia etc. Hope you give it a try :)
Lovely!
...looks very summery.
