I asked the seller what kind of products she used on this cabinet to antique it and she told me she used a store bought antiquing kit. You can believe I'll be on the hunt for something that can accomplish this kind of a finish. It also has the perfect amount of chippiness too.
I took these photos with my cell phone so they are not the best quality photos, but you can still see how beautiful this piece is. It was so nice not to have to slave over something to recreate it.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peak.

ReplyDeleteHow neat that it's already finished for you.

I definitely would love to know what product she used and how long ago she used it. I don't know where you live but I can't find anything like this in my area. I find cheap laminate that people are calling an antique and want 2 or 300.00 for it. No way, I can buy and make a profit even if it is in perfect condition. Can I say "envy" in a good way. We don't often discuss price on these sites but maybe you spend a fortune and can still resell at a profit, but alas, not here. I'm super glad for your finds but must admit I have a little bit of envy in my heart (lol). I thought location, location, location was only associated with buying a house! It is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWow, you really lucked out, Maggie! I am in love with your gorgeous cabinet, how great that you didn't have to do a thing with it! Enjoy:)
