I tried a new recipe for the potato salad that had bacon in it and I placed that in individual plastic cups.
I saw this idea for the strawberries on someone's blog and fell in love with them. I'm so sorry I can't find where I wrote it down so if you see this, please email me and I will include your name in the post. Aren't they pretty? The blue sugar and the white chocolate came from Michael's. They both are by Wilton.
I grilled some small ears of corn on the cob with garlic butter, threw some marinated mozzarella in with some tiny tomatoes and basil to make a Caprese salad. The little pigs in a blanket came from Trader Joe's as did the lemon cake we put some blueberries on. The brownies came already done from Smart & Final.
You can't get any easier than this and nobody left hungry.
I'm sure you all have your own special way of celebrating and I look forward to seeing all the blog posts this week to get even more ideas.
Hoping you all have a safe and wonderful 4th of July.
