Who doesn't love a great treasure hunt? Here are some of my recent treasures. Does anyone know they name of this little Santo? Her hands come off. I thought she was beautiful and I know she has a specific name, I just don't know what it is.
This radish sign is not old but I do love it especially with fall around the corner.
I fell in love with this red and white vintage cookbook.
This is an amo box. It sold immediately when I took it into the shop. It was a great box.
I found a couple pieces of ironstone and this "Nest" cloche. Yippy, I finally have a cloche!
Lastly, I have never seen a plant rack like this. I don't know how old it is but it is very heavy. I think it would be great for plates at a buffet table, don't you?

ReplyDeleteGreat finds, Maggie- I have seen those old plant holders before- I think they are from the 50's...but it would be a GREAT plate holder- xo Diana

Your blog is adorable! I love the statue. Have never seen one like it but now I want one. Fun first visit!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting plant stand, Maggie! I agree, that would be great on a buffet holding plates or even some desserts or something. Your Santos is lovely, I want to say Sacred Heart, but I really don't remember {its been a long time since Catholic school!}.
ReplyDeleteLovely finds! I am so happy that you finally have your own "real" cloche!: ))))
ReplyDeleteYour beautiful Santo is the Infant of Prague. Below is a bit of history about the original statue. The significance of the Child Jesus's hands is cited in the second half of the article. (Note that the poor Infant always seems to look like a *girl* in the statues!)
